Online Reputation

The best way to figure out how a company treats its clientele is by their reviews. We go a step further than looking at a company's review rating. With experience running a local service company, we know you can curate & fake reviews.
That's why we look at how companies respond to their reviews - especially the negative ones.

When you hire a company to install your mini splits, you enter a relationship with that company. There are lots of install variables to account for. So make sure the company you hire's going to be there from the system design to maintenance. Negative reviews, and how a company responds to them, arp-e how you can get that insight.

Reputable companies never shy away from a less-than-stellar review. Companies that take their reputation seriously reach out to resolve their client's issues.

Speed Of Communication

How fast a company communicates with you is a good indicator of how responsive they’ll be when you need them. We’ve learned over the years that your first impression of a company is usually the right one.
There are lots of companies in your area that do great work and have awesome customer service. In our opinion, you shouldn't settle for anything below your standards.

Each company has its own communication capabilities. And you should find one that you prefer to work with on the terms you want.

The only companies we’d recommend you avoid are companies that:

  • Don’t respond to your initial requests for information
  • Show up 15 minutes or earlier to their scheduled appointment without a courtesy call
  • Show up later than 15 minutes to their scheduled appointment without a courtesy call
  • Waste your time not showing up to their scheduled appointment. They scheduled an appointment with you but didn’t show up and didn’t inform you otherwise

Ductless Specialization

Installing mini-splits requires special expertise. Think of a company installing HVAC equipment like you would a doctor. If you need spine surgery, would you go to a chiropractor or spine surgeon? Both work on backs, but one is more equipped to handle your issue.
Although not as drastic, it’s the same for HVAC companies. Companies specializing in mini splits are (usually) less expensive, quicker, and make fewer mistakes.

Business Longevity & Pricing

How long a business has operated usually goes hand in hand with its price. Newer companies tend to underprice their services to be competitive. When they do, lots of established companies will try to match their price. The problem with that is if it’s unprofitable for a company, they won’t be around very long.
Established companies are less likely to under or over price their mini-split installation costs . That’s what you’re looking for, a company that prices their installation to the value they’re providing you. Companies like that tend to be around longer and can service your system for years to come.

You’re developing a relationship with the company that installs your system. You don’t want them going out of business because they can’t afford to keep operating.
